During the first recording session for this album, Tommy Wiggins quipped "This is fun, but it's expensive fun. That observation immediately became the title of Wiggins' Chilidog Records debut.
Expensive Fun covers a lot of ground, crossing musical boundaries with ease from rock to ballads, shuffles to swing. Featuring ten Wiggins' originals and strong performances by a dozen players, album standouts include the Reggae-influenced Good Love and the swing-with-an-attitude Situation Blue.
